Alot of the hotels around Disney offer special Disney packages that include your ticket price. Right now they have the birthday promo going on so if its anyones birthday (exact date) they get in free.
The Disney hotels offer packages too. The Grand is the most expensive followed by the Hotel then the pier. Sometimes there prices work out better then the outside hotels. They quote you one price but you can always ask for a better deal~they negotiate (they just dont tell you that).

If you are with AAA, you might be able to get some deals. They will give you tickets for Disneyland both parks and even universal studios and San Diego wild animal park.

make sure you do the “park-hopper” pass. CA Adventure is really a waste and can be done in less than one day. Take advantage of the “Fast Pass” tickets. You get the fast pass, go on another ride and then go back and stand in a shorter line.
Some people will sell tickets on Craig’s List but BEWARE. My daughter got scammed one time. AAA discounts can work.
Most of the hotels are OK but skip ones like the Disneyland Hotel. We did that ONCE and it was a waste.
Go early & do all the big rides. Don’t miss the fireworks & parades. In CA Adventure, don’t miss “Turtle Talk” – Hollywood area. It is an interactive “show” where “Crush” the turtle talks to the audience. It is different every time. Crush asks questions and the people get to ask questions. Crush will ask to talk to the “little gromit with the red shell” – AKA kid sitting on the floor wearing a red shirt.

It depends on when you go if you are planning on going from Now- April 30 the ticket prices are everyone gets in at the kids price so for three day park hopper that would be $149.00 with a package through Disneyland.com I just did it for 3 people Sunday to Wednesday the cheapest was $728.00 that’s with tickets and hotel with purchasing through Disneyland.com you get Mickey’s Morning Madness which is you get into toontown and mickey’s the mayor and you become a citizen you get a button it’s cool you also get one Morning early entry into fantasy land and you also get a character call. From my experience in the past you also get a Lanyard and luggage tag. Plus another great thing is that you can make payment’s with a portion being paid upfront. Now with all that being said after April 30th a 3 Day park hopper would be $179.00 for adult and $149.00 for a child. With one of there packages the cheapest would be $818.00 for Sunday- Wednesday with tickets. All of there hotels are good neighbor hotels and all all nice hotel’s. Hope this helps enjoy !

When we went we didn’t care about a fancy hotel/motel. The Tropicana directly across the street from the main gate has good deals. It’s clean and has a McDonald’s down the street plus other decent lower cost places to eat nearby.
Best part to us is we could walk in to Disneyland. Go early and get a locker to put coats in etc.
